Introducing Our Investor Readiness Program

Last week, the APGB team had the incredible honour of being invited by Africa Women in Trade (AWT) to share our presentation on "Winning Investor Trust - How to Raise Capital and Lead with Confidence." APGB team was thrilled to join such a dynamic platform and introduce our newly launched Investor Readiness Program for SMEs a project that is close to our hearts and core to our mission. It was more than just an event, it was a celebration of resilience, vision, and shared purpose among African women in business.

Program Overview

The Investor Readiness Program is a 12-week hybrid training and advisory initiative tailored for African SMEs seeking to scale and secure funding.

It includes:

🔹 Business Assessment & Growth Strategy Participants undergo an in-depth assessment to evaluate their current stage, gaps, and potential. We then co-develop a strategic roadmap toward investment readiness.

🔹 Financial Health & Valuation Preparation Our experts help refine financial records, forecasts, and budgets to meet investor standards. We work with founders to understand valuation and funding options.

🔹 Pitch Development & Storytelling Participants learn how to build a compelling pitch deck and articulate their value proposition to different types of investors, impact funds, angel networks, and VC.

🔹 Legal & Governance Support We offer guidance on business registration, compliance, ownership structure, and governance policies that strengthen investor trust.

🔹 Investor Matchmaking & Demo Day Upon successful completion, select participants are invited to present their ventures at our Investor Showcase, where we connect SMEs to a network of potential funders and partners.

🔹 One-on-One Mentorship Every participant is matched with a dedicated mentor from our network of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and business consultants.

This program is ideal for SMEs in sectors such as agribusiness, renewable energy, fashion/textiles, education, digital services, and sustainable consumer products.

🟢 Available in both English and Portuguese to support Lusophone African entrepreneurs.
